What parents say
The playLot is the best thing to happen to Maine. This is a safe/fun place to bring your kids! There are tons of cubbies to put your belongings and space above the cubbies for car seats. Tons of picnic tables for snack time! They have snacks to purchase.
My kids had an absolute blast here — it’s such a great indoor playground option, especially during the winter months. The space is fun, engaging, and perfect for burning off energy when it’s cold outside! That said, one thing that really disappointed me is the pricing structure.
Plan a trip immediately! What a wonderful place to take kids. Ideal for kids 8 and under, I’d say, with a special area for the littlest of children. No blaring music, seems like it would be a great sensory-friendly place when as empty as it was when we went (early afternoon on the Monday after July 4th).
We are from out of town and brought our kids to play twice. Once on July 3 when it was pouring rain. So great to have an indoor play place for the kids to burn off some energy. The woman working was super friendly and nice.
Bringing a toddler?
Reviews and the venue's own info mention a dedicated toddler area or toddler times at The playLOT — a separate space where little ones can play without dodging big kids.
Sensory-friendly play
The playLOT is mentioned for sensory-friendly sessions — typically quieter play times with lights and music turned down. Schedules for these change, so call ahead to confirm the next session before you go.
