Strouds is always a fun day out. You can rent a variety of equipment to enjoy on the river at very affordable prices. If you're not into rowing or paddling you can enjoy the short beach strip and swim or take a hike through the beautiful mountainous hiking trails.
A great place to spend the day with your family or even by yourself. The beach is very well maintained. It can be a bit muddy after a rain as the sand mixes with the dirt. But the beach was clean and groomed. The water was very nice around the beach.
I had an absolutely amazing experience. The Boat House Rental of the Pontoon boat was great! The Staff was professional, helpful, courteous and definitely a service I or anyone would enjoy! It was safe distancing even among the beach gatherings! This was memorial and I can’t wait to visit again!
Swimming, boating & fishing. The Strouds Run Boathouse offers canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, pedal boats, and pontoon boats for rent in Spring, Summer, and Fall. Ohio University Crew uses Dow Lake for practice and race events. There's a fenced-in playground near the beach for children.
