Athens Community Center

I was here waiting on a go bus for my trip to Kentucky it's a really nice and clean place compared to the usual bus stations I get stuck at. They have basketball, pool, and exercise machines. I had never come inside the facility before but.im glad I did today. It was way too cold to be outside.

I used to go here to take a shower. Most people that use the Rec Center never use the showers, they just change into their street clothes, instead of showering off all that funky sweat. However, since Covid-19 the showers are now closed.

We attended a toddler class here. Teacher was very friendly and good with kids. The place is moderately clean and well-maintained. We were there between 4-6 pm, the gym was full, mostly elderly men and air quality was not good around the gym. Staff is friendly.

The center is nice and has most of the amenities that you would expect in a rec center. There is a small gym section, basketball court, training room and a nice outside section with a playground and a skate park. They also have a hall. It is neat and clean and most of the equipment you need is there.
