“The second floor is where they learn about space (shapes), arts, and toddlers room (age 4 and below) where they can roam freely without getting hit.”
“Plenty of parking around the area and fairly cheap ($7 all day) as a family can easy spend a couple hours here.”
What parents say
A museum dedicated to children, especially for younger kids, but children of all ages are welcome. There are 2 stories in the museum, excluding an area where it seems to be half of basement.
I took my daughter and grandson on an exciting trip from Antioch to the museum, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience for all of us. As soon as we arrived, the vibrant atmosphere of the museum captivated us, but it was the water exhibit that truly stole the show.
This museum is so much fun and perfect for kids all ages. It has two floors and an outdoor area. The first floor is where the kids can explore water works, fire truck/ambulance pretend play, foam buildings, mammoth era, and more.
What an amazing place. Absolutely perfect place to spend a few hours with an active 21-month toddler. Lots of variety, activities outside, WATER!!!, air currents, activities, building, learning! We did wait for the bathroom for about 15 minutes - they could definitely use more changing bathrooms.
Bringing a toddler?
Reviews and the venue's own info mention a dedicated toddler area or toddler times at Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose — a separate space where little ones can play without dodging big kids.
