Indoor playgrounds in Houston
Houston's indoor-play season is the opposite of the Northeast's: it peaks in July, when it's 98 degrees with swamp humidity and the outdoor playground is untouchable until sunset. The city has responded with some of the biggest air-conditioned play spaces in the country — Hyper Kidz Westchase's enormous multi-zone floor, Cosmic Air's trampoline-plus-arcade combo, and a whole ring of Kids Empire locations circling the loops. Admission chatter in reviews runs roughly $10–20 per kid, sprawl means there's almost always a location within 15 minutes, and most of the big venues run dedicated toddler zones — this is one of the easiest cities in America to burn off toddler energy in August.
