** with an EBT card admission is $3/per person for up to a family of five** We’ve been to many children’s museums, and while this one isn’t the biggest or best as far as what they have, it was the best experience by far.
We had a great visit during our recent trip to HHI. It was clean and the kids had a blast! I think the staff could be a little friendlier. The museum manager was a little stern/not very inviting attitude towards the children. They also don’t allow children to drink water inside which isn’t ideal in this heat.
Great place to take the kiddos to cool off from the hot sun, or something to do inside on a rainy day… sells out quick so should book a day or two in advance. My kids had a blast and didn’t want to leave! Convenient parking and right next to a park and playgrounds.
Great place to bring young kids on a rainy afternoon (or when it's too hot). There's an area for very young kids (<2y). A good amount of variety including various make believe games/ areas - grocery store with moving conveyor, fire station, vet office with animal x rays, etc.
Bringing a toddler?
Reviews and the venue's own info mention a dedicated toddler area or toddler times at The Sandbox Children's Museum — a separate space where little ones can play without dodging big kids.
