What parents say
Hi all :) Just wanted to share my recent experience at the play area of the community center (this is for the kid area only). My kids actually loved it! And the staff were friendly, and helpful. The play area was very clean, and there's a latched half door entry, where kids can take off shoes.
Rented the Enigma room for a party. The rental process was very easy and Barb was fast at responding to questions via email. The room itself accommodated about 40 people well with some room for kids to play musical chairs. Highly recommend.
Great and affordable indoor play option. $3/kid for unlimited play and kids are contained to help keep tabs on everyone. This is a regular repeat. Birthday parties are a breeze as well. You have your own room attached to the playground and can bring your own food/beverage.
The facilities are nice overall. However, when we used the pool on 3/9/25, the floor felt slimy in the pool. Not sure how often they clean and check chemical levels, or if that is just the flooring materials that they have. Also, the mats in the children's play area are harder for children with balances issues.

Bringing a toddler?
Reviews and the venue's own info mention a dedicated toddler area or toddler times at Shakopee Community Center — a separate space where little ones can play without dodging big kids.
