We love all the programs that this library has to offer. Lego Club is a recurring favorite. My teens like the D&D program on Saturday afternoons. We recently visited for a Fancy Nancy Tea Party and it was fabulous. Jared is an excellent resource for history and genealogy. Highly recommend taking the walking tours.
It's very clean and quiet. There are lots of rooms to study in for children and adults. They staff is friendly and greet you when you first walk inside. The sections of books are easy to navigate and clearly labeled and the online services are fantastic.
We stopped in today to get library cards finally and it was so great! The staff were wonderful, the library is so much bigger than we anticipated, and the checkout process was fast and weirdly fun. My boyfriend was so excited! Anyway, check them out!
Pekin Library is fantastic! So much happening in every department. Friendly and helpful staff. If you need a passport, look no further. They do that, too. There is even an indoor kid play café (really for toddlers/preschoolers, but my older kids played).
Bringing a toddler?
