This place is definitely worth the visit while visiting Southwest Kansas! We went twice within a week. The staff is so friendly, And genuinely care about what they’re doing. Mr. Bob was wonderful with our children, allowing an experience that they will remember for years to come.
We found this gem of a museum as part of the Harvest Host program, and glad we did. The museum is vast, and packed full of aircraft - private and military. Topical displays about air flow, hot air balloons, space, 9/11, and other aeronautical topics can be found throughout the museum as well as interactive exhibits…
I was completely blown away by my visit to this incredible aviation facility during my road trip across the plains. The size of the collection is absolutely massive, featuring rows upon rows of historic aircraft, military jets, and vintage helicopters all housed inside a gigantic hangar.
Aviation has always fascinated me so I love visiting air museums. Mid-America Air Museum is housed in a large hagar on the grounds of Liberal Regional Airport. The museum has a large number of commercial, experimental and military aircrafts. No visit is complete without checking out the museum's special collections.
