What parents say
For this review, I'm combining the visitor center and park, as they're connected. The property is clean and well maintained. The lots were clean, well maintained, well lit and fairly level. Visitor center has the nature display and the live animals are right outside.
Nice clean rest stop & Visitor Center. They have plenty of free maps and other items as well as drinks. Bathrooms are very clean and folks we're very helpful. Yes free WiFi!
We stopped here on our travels to have lunch. This is a nice stop. They have a visitor center, and the park headquarters are here. They are currently remodeling the bathrooms and the floor in the visitor center. There are porta potties in the parking lot and the family bathroom is open.
This is the best rest area! Clean restrooms, small playground for young children, plenty of space to walk a dog, local taxidermy displays, and viewing of small herd of elk and bison. It's right of I-80, next to the actual state park (sends to be shared land).
Bringing a toddler?
Reviews and the venue's own info mention a dedicated toddler area or toddler times at Bear River State Park Visitor Center — a separate space where little ones can play without dodging big kids.
