What parents say
A hidden gem! The American Construction Toy Museum in Norwood is an absolute delight. It blends nostalgia, creativity, and hands-on fun for all ages. Interactive play areas keep kids engaged, and the exhibits do a nice job telling the story behind classic and modern building toys.
Fun museum, especially with all the building toys. It is on the small side and has a max capacity of 28 people; we came when it was at max capacity so we came back a couple hours later and we were good to go. We will be back often. Love also how they have Lego sets you can build.
A great place for all ages! Over 200 antique building toys including Lego, K'Nex, TinkerToys and more! Great play space for little kids, building table for big kids and kids at heart! STEM Classes and Lego clubs!
Great place for the family. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. My daughter really enjoys the Lego night for kids on Tuesdays and the Lego day camps that they offer throughout the year. Definitely worth stopping in to buy some Lego, or hang out and build during one of their open times.
Bringing a toddler?
Reviews and the venue's own info mention a dedicated toddler area or toddler times at American Construction Toy Museum — a separate space where little ones can play without dodging big kids.
Sensory-friendly play
American Construction Toy Museum is mentioned for sensory-friendly sessions — typically quieter play times with lights and music turned down. Schedules for these change, so call ahead to confirm the next session before you go.
