The league table nobody publishes: every national indoor-play and trampoline-park chain with 10+ US locations in our directory, ranked by the average Google rating of its venues — 1,268 locations and 1,224,223 customer reviews in all. Updated July 2026.

The chain league table

The headline: the boutiques beat the giants. Hyper Kidz leads the country at an average 4.89★ across 17 locations, and the whole top five is smaller, kid-focused concepts — play museums, sensory gyms, adventure parks with staff on the floor. The mega-chains are the ones parents can actually find everywhere (Sky Zone alone has 266 locations and 346,819 reviews), and they hold respectable low-4s — the trade-off between scale and the personal touch, in one table.

Honest framing: these are averages of location-level Google ratings, not corporate scores — a chain is only as good as the franchise nearest you, so always check the individual venue page. McDonald's PlayPlace makes the list because parents genuinely use it as free indoor play; it's a restaurant play area, not a dedicated venue, which its rating reflects.

Methodology

Chains are matched by venue name across our national directory; a chain qualifies with at least 10 US locations. Each chain's average is the mean Google rating of its locations with at least 5 reviews (so a single-review outlier can't tilt a brand), and review totals count all its locations, as of July 2026. Location counts are what we've verified in the directory — treat them as floors, not official franchise counts.
